Overview

The LenelS2TM OnGuard® system version 8.1 provides operators with more fully featured browser clients and modernized desktop clients for an enhanced user experience and improved administration. Deeper integration with the Magic Monitor unified client and Milestone XProtect systems empowers security teams with better situational awareness and more efficient system management. Version 8.1 also includes new cloud enabling features and provides additional analytics capabilities to help facilitate intelligent decision-making.

Usability enhancements to OnGuard system browser clients such as OnGuard Credentials, OnGuard Visitor, OnGuard Monitor, and OnGuard Reports provide a superior experience and new enterprise functionality. New features include improved segmentation, simplified printer management, the ability to perform visitor bulk imports, and a variety of new reports. The OnGuard System Administration and Alarm Monitoring Windows clients have modernized user interfaces and support dark mode to reduce eye strain and enhance energy efficiency.

The Magic Monitor unified client for OnGuard systems now provides incident-related videos for immediate response via the newly added ‘Hot Tile’ functionality and features improved dynamic overlays for better visualization and control of readers. The OnGuard to Milestone XProtect integration is enhanced to improve performance and function. Clients can now respond to the full list of Milestone event types including analytics events such as exceeding occupancy limits, queue length and more. Additionally, the OnGuard Alarm Monitor client can now directly launch the XProtect Smart client to access the full array of XProtect video capabilities.

Version 8.1 also introduces functionality that enables scripted cloud deployment and facilitates remote system maintenance.

• Improvements to auditing provide visibility to user records and transactions as well as better identification of origin of request and pre/post meta data in user transactions
• Deeper integration with Milestone video in Magic Monitor, OnGuard Surveillance, and OnGuard Monitor clients

New and Enhanced OnGuard Browser Clients and Apps

• Usability enhancements to key web clients target needs of enterprise end users
• Refreshed OnGuard Credentials client align UI, expand responsiveness for flexible device support, enhanced resolution and provided AD508/WCAG/W3C compliance updates
• OnGuard Reports web client adds support for Enterprise and additional reports & dashboards
• Twelve new reports not previously available for OnGuard systems
• New summary descriptions help with quick identification of available reports
• New capabilities for OnGuard Visitor client allow users to manage badges and access levels as well as ‘import’ visitors using a downloadable spreadsheet template. Visitor client offers better aligned status for visits and visitors across the platform
• OnGuard Monitor client now allows users to export multiple Mp4 video clips and view live event video in a rotating 2×2 grid

Access Control Hardware

• Support for Assa Abloy Aperio AH40 IP hub improves lock capacity to 64 devices and adds network connectivity to the LenelS2 Controller
